OptiQPAP project starts, coordinated by IMDEA Materials

OptiQPAP is an European project funded by the Research Fund for Coal and Steel. The OptiQPAP project focuses on the intelligent microstructural design in the high strength Q&P steels for simultaneous improvement of various performance and mechanical properties, which are required for their commercialization. Special attention will be paid to fatigue and fracture behaviour, wear resistance, weldability, ductile-brittle transition temperature, high strain rate behavior and energy absorption, along with the formability and bendability of Q&P steels.

The kick-off meeting for the OptiQPAP project will take place next July 5th 2016 at IMDEA Materials Institute’s headquarters.
