"Intelligent technologies and environmentally sustainable to generate composite structures"
The TARGET CENIT project consortium consists of 13 industrial partners of proven technological capabilities, supported by 24 research organizations (universities and technology centers).
This national strategic project with an overall budget of 29 million Euros is coordinated by Airbus Operations. In the consortium are also taking part Acciona, Aernnova, Alestis Aerospace, Applus, Aries Complex, EADS, Hexcel, Idec, mTorres, Sairem, Tecnatom and TR Composites.
The TARGET project's overall objective is to investigate and develop new smart and environmentally sustainable technologies to manufacture composite structures.
The two main objectives of the collaboration between AIRBUS Operations and IMDEA Materials Institute are the development of new solutions for ice impact protection and the study of new composites architectures for high loaded structural details.
