🎉 Recently, IMDEA Materials Institute had the honour of hosting the kick-off meeting for the DIGIMATER-CM project! DIGIMATER-CM (Digital strategies for autonomous discovery of materials for engineering applications) is an ambitious initiative funded by the Comunidad de Madrid. The project aims to accelerate materials development by combining laboratory automation and artificial intelligence. By optimising experimental workflows and leveraging composition-processing-property relationships, DIGIMATER-CM is set to create a fully autonomous research platform dedicated to advanced polymer-based materials for a wide range of applications, from flexible electronics, through tissue engineering to sustainable plastics. 🤝 The consortium unites expertise from seven research groups across three universities and three research institutes, including coordinators the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, IMDEA Materials Institute, the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology (ICTP-CSIC), the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid (ICMM - CSIC) and the Universidad de Alcalá. 🚀 We are thrilled to contribute to such a groundbreaking project and can’t wait to see the innovations that will emerge. Stay tuned for updates! Maciej Haranczyk, Carlos González, José Sánchez del Río, Dr. Christina Schenk, Monica Echeverry Rendon, Juan Pedro Fernandez Blazquez, Sabina Lachowicz-Wiśniewska, Aroa Mascaraque León, Miguel Hernández del Valle, Luis Calero Lumbreras
