The event brought together researchers working at the crossroads of additive manufacturing, biomaterials, and tissue engineering, creating a fantastic environment for scientific exchange and discussion.<\/p><p data-start=\"596\" data-end=\"731\">We are especially proud to highlight that <strong data-start=\"638\" data-end=\"696\">two of our PhD candidates delivered oral presentations<\/strong>, sharing their ongoing research:<\/p><p data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"960\">\ud83d\udd39 <strong data-start=\"736\" data-end=\"772\">\u00c1ngela Garc\u00eda de la Camacha D\u00edaz<\/strong> presented <em data-start=\"783\" data-end=\"892\">\u201cAdditive Manufacturing of bioabsorbable continuous wire-reinforced composites for Bone Tissue Engineering\u201d<\/em>, focusing on advanced composite strategies for bone regeneration.<\/p><p data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"1171\">\ud83d\udd39 <strong data-start=\"965\" data-end=\"990\">Luis Calero Lumbreras<\/strong> presented <em data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1087\">\u201cProcessability and biocompatibility of additively manufactured zinc-alloy implants\u201d<\/em>, addressing key challenges in the development of bioresorbable metallic implants.<\/p><p data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1431\">In addition, our PI:<\/p><p data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1431\"><strong data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1225\">\ud83d\udd39 Dr. M\u00f3nica Echeverry Rend\u00f3n<\/strong>, presented <em data-start=\"1237\" data-end=\"1330\">\u201cAdvances in 3D-printed scaffolds: guided tissue regeneration: polymer-to-metal approaches\u201d<\/em>, highlighting the group\u2019s multidisciplinary vision in scaffold design and regenerative strategies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, from January 22nd to 24th, members of the BCD Group attended the II Workshop on Additive Biofabrication, held in Santiago de Compostela.
