Dr. Alberto Palomares defended his PhD thesis on December 21st at the Polytechnical University of Madrid. His research, entitled “Micromechanics of fully lamellar TiAl alloys: effect of lamellar orientation and width”, obtained the highest grade awarded by this institution.
