Dr. Sarra Haouala obtained her Mechanical Engineering degree from Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tunis (Tunisia) in 2010 and her Master degree in Mechanics from the same institution in July 2011. The topic of the master thesis is: “Modeling and numerical simulation of the flow of dry/wet cohesive granular materials using the discrete element method (DEM)”.
From September 2011 to January 2012 she worked as an Assistant at the Private School of Engineering and Technology in Tunisia.
In February 2012 she joined the department of Applied Mechanics and Mathematics (MEMA) at Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), Belgium, where she started her PhD. entitled Space and time (4D) homogenization of coupled viscoelastic-viscoplastic solids under large numbers of cycle. (Funded by Walloon Region through the EUREKA/DURAFIP project).
Obtaining her PhD in January 2016, she moved to Madrid to work as a Postdoctoral Researcher in IMDEA Materials Institute.
