Our Ph.D. students Ana de Isidro, Shegufta Tahsin, and Clarissa Giudicci attended the NT24 conference in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. from June 23-28, 2024. Our group leader, Dr. Juan José Vilatela, was also invited to give a symposium, and our post-doctoral researcher Dr. David Tilve presented a poster on his recent work.
Clarissa gave a plenary talk regarding her recent work, titled “A semi-detailed kinetic model for the production of carbon nanotubes and H2 by the thermo-catalytic pyrolysis of methane.” Dr. Juan José Vilatela gave an invited symposium about “Macromaterial assembly by gas phase aggregation of nanowire clusters.” At the poster session, David and Ana presented their recent work related to the processing of SiNWs into macrostructures and intercalated CNT fibers, respectively. Shegufta’s poster was about the implementation of joul heating to prepare nanocarbon/inorganic composites.
