Miguel shares his work on catalyst generation and 1D nanomaterial synthesis at the 11th International Aerosol Conference (IAC 2022) in Athens, Greece

Earlier this month, MNG postdoctoral research associate Dr. Miguel Vázquez Pufleau presented his recent work on catalyst generation and 1D nanomaterial synthesis at the 11th International Aerosol Conference (IAC 2022), which took place in Athens, Greece on 4-9 Sept. 2022. His co-authors were Floatech co-founder Richard Schäufele, Ph.D student Isabel Gómez-Palos, MNG technician Luis Arévalo, and MNG Leader Dr. Juan José Vilatela.

Miguel next to his poster titled “Methodologies of aerosol catalyst generation and control for 1D nanomaterial (1D-NM) growth via floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition (FCCVD).”

Miguel and coworkers demonstrated successful control over the size, concentration, and stability of nanoparticles using spark discharge generation. They also showed that electron micrographs can be used for analysing the particle size distribution in the absence of a commercial scanning mobility particle sizer (SMPS).
