From September 2 to September 6, 2024, two PhD students, Elena Sánchez-Ahijón and Rafael Tomey, along with Dr. Zahid Ali Zafar, a postdoctoral researcher, represented our research group at the XXX International Summer School “Nicolás Cabrera” on Energy Storage Systems to Face the Climate Challenge: Sustainable Development of Li-ion Batteries. The event took place at the “La Cristalera” residence in Miraflores de la Sierra, Spain.
During the event, our members contributed significantly with their research presentations. Elena Sánchez-Ahijón presented her work titled 100% Si Nanowire Anodes for All-Solid-State Lithium-Ion Batteries, while Rafael Tomey discussed his research on Electrochemical Properties of Silicon Nanowire Paper Electrodes as High-Performance LiB Anodes.
Their participation in the summer school, alongside leading researchers and experts in the field, underscores the important contributions our group is making to the global efforts in sustainable energy storage systems.
