Dr. Yi Yang has obtained the Juan de la Cierva Fellowship from the Spanish Research Agency. He is working at IMDEA Materials as a post-doctoral research associate in the Bio/Chemo/Mechanics of Materials group and will continue working in the analysis of the deformation and strengthening mechanisms
Victoria Tucker (Purdue University), Mingdi Yu (Shanghai Jiaotong University) and Yidi Li (Central South University) visit the Bio/Chemo/Mechanics of Materials research group
Victoria Tucker is carrying out her PhD on the analysis of deformation and fracture mechanisms of Ni-based superalloys. Mingdi Yu is working towards her PhD on the deformation mechanisms on novel Mg alloys with high strength and ductility. And Yidi Li will spend one year at IMDEA Materials
Carmen Martínez-Alonso defended her PhD thesis entitled “High-throughput computational strategies to discover new catalysts for the hydrogen economy including elastic strain engineering” on October 2nd at the Complutense University of Madrid
The thesis was supervised by Prof. Javier LLorca and obtained the highest grade “Sobresaliente cum laude”. Congratulations to the new doctor from the Bio/Chemo/Mechanics of Materials group.
