Alejandro Rodríguez has obtained the FPU fellowship from the Ministry of Education to carry out his doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. J. LLorca and Dr. J. M. Molina-Aldareguía. Alejandro’s thesis will be devoted to analyze the micromechanisms of fatigue crack nucleation and growth in Ni-based superalloys.
The FPU fellowships are awarded every year in a competitive call among the top students of the country from all the different areas of knowledge (humanities, social sciences, life sciences, physical sciences and engineering). Another two graduate students of the Mechanics of Materials group (Barbara Bellón and Rodrigo Santos) have received the same fellowship in previous years.
