Clara Galera has obtained the FPU fellowship from the Ministry of Science to carry out his doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. J. LLorca and Dr. Teresa Pérez-Prado. Clara’s thesis will be devoted to analyse the processing-structure-properties of Ni-based superalloys processed by additive manufacturing (selective laser melting). Clara was ranked first among all the candidates in the category of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
The FPU fellowships are awarded every year in a competitive call among the top students of the country in all areas of knowledge (humanities, social sciences, life sciences, physical sciences and engineering). Three graduate students of the Mechanics of Materials group (Barbara Bellón, Rodrigo Santos and Alejandro Rodríguez) have received the same fellowship in previous years.
