The Zhou Huijiu lecture was hosted by the State Key Laboratory on the Mechanical Behavior of Materials and was entitled “Beyond the grain: How interfaces control plastic deformation and fracture in metallic polycrystals (insights from in-situ micromechanics, atomistic simulations and machine learning)”.

In addition to this lecture, Javier LLorca also gave two invited presentations at Central South University (Changsha) and at Northwestern Polytechnical University (Xi’an) during his trip to China
