The European Solid Mechanics Conference is held every three years under the auspices of the European Mechanics Society and the major event in solid mechanics in Europe.

The 11th European Solid Mechanics Conference was held in Galway, Ireland, from 3rd to 8th of July, 2022 and Javier LLorca was one of the five invited plenary speakers. The title of his talk was “A multiscale modelling roadmap for virtual design of precipitation-hardened metallic alloys”.
