Victoria Tucker is carrying out her PhD on the analysis of deformation and fracture mechanisms of Ni-based superalloys. Mingdi Yu is working towards her PhD on the deformation mechanisms on novel Mg alloys with high strength and ductility. And Yidi Li will spend one year at IMDEA Materials (supported by the China Scholarship Council) to analyze the performance of Mg/Zn multi-materials manufactured by additive friction stir deposition.
