Prof. José Sanchez del Río Sáez, physicist in Materials (2001, Autónoma Madrid University –UPM-), has a PhD in Materials/Applied Physics (2007). He has worked in electronics and research at different companies (We AreB-Fy, Alter Tehnology, etc.). He was specialized as a postdoc at IEM-CSIC in nuclear instrumentation during the period 2015–2015 and was working in a private company testing EEE components for space applications and novel inventions.

He was working as Electronics Engineer at IMDEA Materials for 5 years (2016-2020). Presently, he is a lecturer of Physics, Electronics and Computer Science subjects at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), in the E.T.S. Design and Industrial Engineering School (E.T.S.I.D.I). He has written more than 30 papers in peer- reviewed international journals, 2 book chapters, and has 4 international and 3 national patents. Since May, 2021, he is visiting scientist at IMDEA Materials and affiliated researcher in ICAI School (Pontifical Comillas University).
