Throughout the month, our team has been actively involved in outreach, science communication, and innovation-driven activities.
At Madrid es Ciencia, our researchers Alex Mascaraque LeĂłn and Ăngela GarcĂa de la Camacha DĂaz shared their work with children, teenagers, and families, bringing science closer to the public through interactive discussions on biomaterials, 3D printing, cells, and tissues. It was a fantastic opportunity to inspire curiosity and showcase how research connects with everyday life.
During the fair, Ăngela also gave a talk at the Ăgora space, exploring the connection between 3D printing and art. Two seemingly different worlds that come together through creativity, design, and innovation to shape new possibilities.
In parallel, our colleagues Luis Calero Lumbreras, Pablo Varela, Patricia GonzĂĄlez JimĂ©nez, Theofilia Koulopoulou, Monica Echeverry Rendon, together with AndrĂ©s DĂaz Lantada, took part in the initiative âEngineering Open Source Medical Devicesâ at Universidad PolitĂ©cnica de Madrid. As part of this event, they developed an exciting project: Metastasis-on-a-Chip (MoC), contributing to the advancement of accessible and innovative biomedical technologies.
We are proud of our teamâs enthusiasm and commitment to sharing knowledge, fostering innovation, and connecting science with society.
Letâs keep building, sharing, and inspiring!
