Last week, members of the BCD Group represented our team at leading scientific conferences across China, strengthening our international collaborations and sharing our latest research in biomaterials and tissue engineering.
Dr. Mónica Echeverry Rendón (Principal Investigator) visited the Research Center for Light Alloys and Technology at the School of Materials Science, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), where she introduced the BCD Group and explored new opportunities for collaboration.
She also presented the work “Microstructure, Corrosion Resistance, and Biocompatibility of Mg-Zn-Ca Alloys with Optimized PEO Coatings for Biomedical Implants” at the 3rd WMC / 9th WMS / IUMRS-ICA2025 International Conference in Guilin, China.
Meanwhile, Dr. Yuyao Liu (Postdoctoral Researcher) participated in the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society – Asia Pacific Meeting (TERMIS-AP) held in Wuhan, China. There, she presented her latest research on “Dual 3D-printed composite scaffold designs for region-specific osteochondral defect repair.”
These activities reflect our group’s commitment to advancing scientific collaboration, sharing knowledge, and building bridges across disciplines and continents.
