On 4 November, researchers from BCD took part in the IMDEA Materials’ 4 Minutes Talk, an inspiring event where young scientists present their research in just four minutes.
We are delighted to share that Ángela García de la Camacha Díaz, won the Jury Award with her engaging presentation “Who wants to live forever”, where she explored the development of personalised 3D-printed composite scaffolds for the regeneration of damaged knee tissue. Her talk captivated the audience and judges alike with its balance of innovation, passion, and purpose.
Also representing, Luis Calero Lumbreras presented “Zinc: The Art of Balance”, highlighting our group’s progress in the design and fabrication of bioabsorbable zinc implants, materials engineered to safely degrade inside the body after supporting tissue healing.
🏆 Congratulations to Ángela for this well-deserved recognition (she’s the best), and to both our speakers for showcasing the excellence and impact of BCD’s research at this year’s IMDEA Materials’ 4 Minutes Talk!
