The third edition of the “City and Science Biennial” will be held in Barcelona and Madrid between February 21 and 26, 2023. The organization of the Biennial will be done with the collaboration of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, promoted by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).
The seven IMDEA Institutes work from seven different scientific areas with a common goal: to improve the lives of all. Would you like to know what the things around you are made of? And how are new materials for airplanes, batteries, or body implants invented? How much do you know about Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and its applications in Medicine, energy storage and production, or in the transport sector? Did you know that, since the first human settlements, water has been key in the development and evolution of the city? And how do urban habits influence the hydrological cycle and, consequently, the environment? Do you think a battery-free “Internet of Things (IoT)” is possible, which works by capturing energy from ambient light? Are you aware of the importance of software in your life? Do we really know the importance of nutrition for our health? And what is precision nutrition?
Researchers from IMDEA Water, IMDEA Software, IMDEA Food, IMDEA Networks, IMDEA Energy, IMDEA Nanoscience and IMDEA Materials will help you answer these and many other questions. Discover with them the wonderful world of science.
