For the fourth consecutive year, IMDEA Materials Institute has participated in the Madrid Es Ciencia Fair, the largest annual science outreach event in the Community of Madrid.
Nearly 20 researchers, representing all areas of research conducted by the Institute, from advances in medical devices to lighter and stronger metals, as well as 3D printing, spent three days interacting with the public and sharing our vision of making a positive impact on society through materials science.
The 13th edition of Madrid Es Ciencia took place from March 7th to 9th at IFEMA Madrid, featuring over 700 activities and the participation of more than 60 schools and institutes, 10 universities, various museums, scientific societies, companies, and the seven IMDEA Institutes.
In addition to engaging with hundreds of students of all ages, who are promising representatives of the next generation of Spanish researchers, IMDEA Materials’ stand also received visits from Emilio Viciana, Counselor of Education, Science, and Universities, Ana Ramírez, Vice-Counselor of Universities, Research, and Science, and Barbara Fernández-Revuelta Fernández-Duran, Deputy Director-General of Research of the Community of Madrid.
Organised by the Madri+d Foundation and the Community of Madrid, the Fair represents a unique opportunity to reach a massive audience, with over 20,000 attendees over the three days of the event.
