On November 11^th, the kickoff meeting of the European project VACAST was held at IMDEA Materials facilities. The objective of the project is to develop the next generation of Ni-based superalloy nozzle guide vane (NGV) design and manufacturing capability for low pressure turbines of advanced aircraft engines. The consortium is lead by IMDEA Materials Institute and includes ITP, Precicast Bilbao, Calcom-ESI, University of Applied Sciences of Switwerland and Precicast Novazzano.
