IMDEA Materials Institute and State Key Lab of Metal Matrix Composites has recently signed a two years colaboration agreement to promote joint research and development activities in the area of multi-scale modeling for functional materials and composites. In addition, this agreement opens a new range of possibilities to exchange staff researchers and students between both institutions.
The State Key Lab of Metal Matrix Composites was open in 1992. After years of development, the laboratory has become China’s major base for composite materials research, which is mainly focused on metal matrix composites and the comprehensive development of polymer matrix composites and new functional composite materials.
