Seminar of Dr. Ivan Fernández, from Nano4Energy SL, will give a Seminar entitled: “Research and development activities in Nano4Energy: from laboratory-scale development of thin films to industrial production”. September 8th at 12:00 in the Seminar Room.

Abstract:
Nano4Energy is a technology-based company with great international projection. The main activity of Nano4Energy is the technological development of coatings with high added value through magnetron sputtering technology and the implementation of said coatings in industrial coating systems; due to requirements of today’s coatings, the company has become one of the world leaders in coatings applied by “High Impulse Power Magnetron Sputtering” technology. Furthermore, Nano4Energy is specialized in the development and manufacture of “High Impulse Power Magnetron Sputtering” power sources. Sputtering” that respond to the needs of companies that produce coatings in a personalized way.

CV:
Dr. Iván Fernández Martínez, co-founder, associate and CEO of Nano4Energy SL. He studied physics at the University of Oviedo and did his doctoral thesis at the Microelectronics Institute of Madrid, belonging to the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC). After the thesis he received a 3-year research grant in the program called “Juan de la Cierva” to develop reactive sputtering processes to scale up thin film photovoltaic absorbers at the Solar Energy Institute (IES-UPM). Throughout his 20 years in the scientific sector, Dr. Iván Fernández has acquired a great deal of experience in thin film deposition and the physics of it. He has participated in many national and international research projects and has several patents and more than 30 publications.
