Our Institute hosted past January 14th and 15th a workshop devoted to 3D printing of metals. The first day focused on the fundamentals, while the second day covered the many applications of this technology.
World-renowned experts on the field participated in the event, such as Iain Todd (Director of the Future Manufacturing Hub at the University of Sheffield), Mihn-Son Pham (Researcher at the Imperial College and author of one of the reference books in the subject: “Damage-tolerant architected materials inspired by crystal microstructure”), Guillermo Requena (German Aerospace Center) and Omar Fergani (Siemens Digital Industries).
These thematic meetings are aimed for graduates in science and engineering, researchers, academics and professionals from industry and fosters the debate between all them.
