An opportunity to boost your scientific career: IMDEA Materials launches its offers for ‘Programa Investigo’ 2026

IMDEA Materials Institute has launched a new call for positions within the ‘Programa Investigo 2026’, an initiative aimed at promoting the incorporation of young people into the fields of research and innovation.

The programme offers young graduates the opportunity to develop their professional careers in an international and multidisciplinary scientific environment, participating in research and development projects in strategic areas of materials science and engineering.

This year, IMDEA Materials is offering seven positions across different research and technological support areas:

“Programa Investigo represents an excellent opportunity for young graduates to join a cutting-edge research environment and gain practical experience in advanced technologies and high-impact projects,” said Rosa Bazán, Human Resources Manager at IMDEA Materials Institute.

“In addition to contributing to the professional development of participants, these positions offer the chance to work alongside international researchers in key areas for industry, healthcare, sustainability, and digital transformation,” she added.

Programa Investigo, managed by the Regional Government of Madrid, is funded through the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – NextGenerationEU.

The opportunities are aimed at young people over the age of 16 and under 30 who are registered as unemployed job seekers at one of the employment offices of the Community of Madrid.

Applicants must hold university, doctoral, or vocational training qualifications (intermediate or advanced level) related to the activities offered. In the case of foreign qualifications, official recognition in Spain will be required, except for support staff positions.

Employment contracts will be formalised for the entity’s workplaces located within the Community of Madrid.
