Our director, Prof. Jose Manuel Torralba, has participated in a meeting with the President of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Dr. Eloisa del Pino, the Deputy Minister of Universities, Research, and Science of the Community of Madrid, Dr. Ana Ramírez de Molina, and the Directors of the IMDEA Institutes. The meeting was held to strengthen scientific collaboration in the Community of Madrid.

According to Prof. Torralba, this meeting was an initiative aimed at continuing to drive research excellence in Madrid with the support of the regional government and the joint commitment of the IMDEA Institutes.

“At IMDEA Materials, we are convinced that collaboration with CSIC and the other IMDEA Institutes is key to addressing the great scientific and technological challenges,” said Prof. Torralba.

“Meetings like this are essential for aligning efforts and reinforcing the role of science in the sustainable development of our society.”

“The Community of Madrid has the potential to become an international leader in science and technology, and the IMDEA Institutes, including IMDEA Materials, should lead this effort,” he added.

The meeting also included the directors of IMDEA Food, Dr. Ricardo Ramos Ruiz, IMDEA Energy, Dr. David Serrano Granados, IMDEA Nanoscience, Prof. Dr. Rodolfo Miranda Soriano, IMDEA Software Institute, Dr. Manuel Carro, and IMDEA Networks Institute, Dr. Albert Banchs.
