Pre-Award
Position the Institute and its research groups, identify suitable funding opportunities, inform and train researchers on relevant programs, calls, and topics, and support the generation of project ideas, consortia formation, proposal writing, and review.

Technology Transfer
The Technology Transfer and Innovation Office (TTIO) facilitates the commercialisation of research by identifying results, managing intellectual property, fostering industry collaborations, and supporting the licensing or spin-off creation processes.

Our team
Chemist (2000) and Master’s degree in Economics and Innovation Management (2012). Since 2016, he has headed the Projects and Technology Department and has been a member of the Management Committee. He has over 25 years of experience in R&D management, technology transfer, and scientific communication in the field of advanced materials.
In addition to eight years of experience in industry (energy and chemical sectors), he has coordinated the management of more than 150 national and international projects with companies and public bodies, including the Industrial Advisory Board of IMDEA Materials, led the Spanish Advanced Materials Platform (MATERPLAT) for eight years, negotiated multiple patent and software licenses, and contributed to the creation of the spin-off FLOATECH. His profile combines scientific, industrial, and innovation expertise, focused on delivering impact and sustainable development.
Germán Infante
Head of pre-award and technology transfer activities. Ph.D. in Physics (2010), Master’s in Environmental Management and Engineering (2011) and certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2014. Since 2012, dedicated to grant writing, technology transfer and project management.
Blanca Moríñigo
Head of post-award activities. Chemist (2011) and Master’s in Pharmaceutical Industry (2012). Since 2014, dedicated to post-award support.
