We would like to congratulate BIOMET4D researcher Guillermo Domínguez López for his successful PhD defence at Caminos UPM of the Technical University of Madrid on Friday.
Guillermo defended his thesis on the effects of chemical composition, surface treatments, and processing techniques on the corrosion and cytocompatibility of zinc and magnesium alloys.
You can find out more about his recent research in Surface and Coatings Technology, here.
This work was carried out as part of the BIOMET4D project, coordinated by IMDEA Materials.
He was most-recently a member of our Biometals Coatings and Devices (BCD – Research Group), led by Dr. Monica Echeverry Rendon, and was co-supervised by Dr. Echeverry Rendón and Prof. Javier LLorca.
