BIOMET4D project partners Meotec GmbH and Aerosint have stengthened their collaboration in developing cutting-edge laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) 3D-printing technology.
Meotec development engineer Simon Pöstges was on hand at the Aerosint facilities in Belgium as Aerosint’s new multimaterial recoating system underwent its Factory Acceptance Test.
Meotec is a medical technology company, focused on novel concepts for bioresorbable magnesium implants. Aerosint, meanwhile, is a world leader in powder bed-based multimaterial additive manufacturing.
As part of the BIOMET4D project, the two are working closely to retrofit Meotec’s multimaterial LPBF by integrating Aerosint’s revolutionary Selective Powder Deposition (SPD) recoater.
