Dr. Juan José Vilatela, leader of the research program on “Nanomaterials for Multifunctional Applications” at IMDEA Materials, leads this prestigious ERC Starting Grant from the European Union. Dr. Vilatela and his research group will develop new multifunctional structural composite materials that combine high performance mechanical properties and the possibility to harvest energy along the next 5 years.
