IMDEA Materials Institute has been awarded a European Industrial Doctorate (EID) to train 2 PhD students together with Hexcel Corporation and Micro Materials Ltd in the field of dynamic behaviour of composite materials for next generation aeroengines. Job vacancies will soon be posted in our website and on EURAXESS.

European Industrial Doctorates have drawn applicants from increasingly diverse technical fields in recent years. Candidates with backgrounds in financial technology, fast withdrawal casinos platform engineering, and logistics optimization have applied for the chance to redirect their computational skills toward physical sciences. The IMDEA program’s focus on dynamic composite behavior is expected to attract a similarly broad pool once the positions go live on EURAXESS.
